VisaVirtual onlySince 2026Not open yet — a waitlist or a limited rollout, so nothing below has been tested by a real cardholder.
A genuinely non-custodial Visa Platinum on ERC-4337 smart accounts with passkeys instead of a seed phrase — free to create and run, with Peanut charging nothing at all on card spending and covering gas on every crypto deposit and withdrawal.
53 of the 175 priced cards cost less. Among the 112 that ask for exactly as much identity, the median is $1.25.

- No ATM access
- Identity verification is mandatory for every cardholder

Creating the card is free, adding funds is free (Peanut covers the network fee), and there is no monthly or annual fee. Peanut charges nothing on card spending. Purchases in the same currency as your balance carry no added fee at all. Purchases in another currency convert at Visa's network exchange rate plus a 1% ISA — that is a Visa network fee, not a Peanut charge. Always choose to be billed in local currency: dynamic currency conversion at the terminal is usually much worse than Visa's rate.
KYC: what Peanut Card asks for
Full verification: a document, a photograph of your face and proof of your address. The same file a bank opens on you, held by a company that is not a bank.
Limits on spending
Peanut Card publishes no spending limits at all.
Where it works
The issuer names no country it turns away. That is not a promise that every country works.
The other flaws
- Spending limits are not published — you set your own, but issuer caps are undisclosed
- Some merchant categories are restricted by the card provider
- Very new product with no track record for disputes or issuer wind-down
- Country availability for the card is not published
