Before you continue. The service is partly unavailable. Some of what is described below may not work.

A Hong Kong stablecoin wallet whose card reaches WeChat, Alipay and Chinese bank accounts — currently mid-migration, with the old cards frozen for funding since July and the new ones obtainable only through a Telegram bot.

Total, per $100 spent: not published

The issuer does not publish enough of its charges for us to price this card. That is not the same as cheap.

Whether to take THPay

Do not open one right now. The card works and the wallet is real, but THPay is in the middle of a migration it has not finished explaining: the old cards cannot be funded and have not been cleared since July, the new ones only take money in one direction and are handed out through a Telegram bot, the Android app has vanished from Google Play, and every cost past the $30 issuance is unpublished. Worth revisiting once the maintenance notice comes down.

In its favour

  • A crypto wallet with a real external deposit path feeding a card that works online, in person and at cash machines
  • Seven assets across the three networks most people already hold stablecoins on
  • Both virtual and physical cards, on Visa and Mastercard, with Apple Pay and Google Pay
  • The iOS app is actively maintained — version 2.4.8 shipped three days before this check

Against it

  • The maintenance notice itself shipped with an unfilled CMS template placeholder where a date should be
  • Money on the new cards is one-way: balances transferred to the Prime and Nova cards cannot be moved back
  • The new card can only be applied for through a Telegram bot during what THPay calls its initial launch phase, and the help centre elsewhere still describes that card as not yet launched
  • The Android app has been removed from Google Play — the listing returns a 404

Also true, in its favour

  • Free transfers on to WeChat, Alipay and mainland Chinese bank accounts, which almost nothing else in this segment offers

What THPay costs

ChargeWhat it costs
To get the card
To issue the card$30.00
Total, per $100 spentNot published

Not published by the issuer: monthly, to load, to spend, per payment, fixed, to spend outside the dollar, at a cash machine.

Read off thpay.com on September 12, 2026.

One number is published: $30 to issue a virtual card. Nothing else is. There is no published per-payment fee, no currency conversion rate, no ATM fee, no monthly fee and no limit of any kind, and THPay reserves the right to change all of it. The $30 itself appears in two different units across two help articles, so even that figure is not stated consistently. The card is mid-generation: the older Prestige and Exclusive cards have been unable to accept top-ups since late July 2026, and the replacement Prime and Nova cards are applied for through a Telegram bot, take balances one-way, and are described elsewhere in the same help centre as not yet launched.

KYC: what THPay asks for

A government document. Passport or ID goes to the issuer and to whoever processes verification for it, before the card is handed over.

The issuer names no country it turns away. That is not a promise that every country works.

The other flaws

  • The old cards have been frozen for funding since late July 2026 and no all-clear has been published. The maintenance notice promised roughly two weeks and is still live — which is why this record is marked degraded rather than operational
  • The help centre links users to an App Store listing that belongs to a different company's app
  • The entire spend side is undisclosed and unilaterally changeable: no per-payment fee, no currency conversion, no ATM fee and no limits are published anywhere
  • $30 to issue a virtual card is high for this segment, and the same figure is quoted in two different units in two different articles
  • The official X account is two and a half months old with 38 followers
  • THPay's own pages disagree about how many countries it covers, and the App Store listing claims the card works in any country in the world
  • Older versions of the app were reportedly usable only with a mainland-China national ID; nothing published today repeats that, but the history is worth knowing
