Oppi Wallet

Oppi Wallet

Visa · MCVirtual and plastic
Asks for a documentOperational

A self-custodial wallet that issues both a virtual Mastercard and a physical Visa from the same crypto balance, funded by five assets across five chains — with $10 issuance and 2.5% conversion published, and almost every other price left blank.

Total, per $100 spent: not published

The issuer does not publish enough of its charges for us to price this card. That is not the same as cheap.

Whether to take Oppi Wallet

Worth a look if you want one product that gives you both a Mastercard and a Visa off a self-custodial balance and you can fund it with BTC, ETH or SOL rather than stablecoins alone — that combination is genuinely rare. Do not assume you know what it costs. Only issuance and the 2.5% conversion are published; the top-up fee, the per-payment fee, the ATM fee and every limit are blank, the card issuer is unnamed, and the single Trustpilot review behind the score tells you nothing.

In its favour

  • Two networks in one product — a virtual Mastercard and a physical Visa — which almost nothing else here offers
  • Five assets fund the card directly, including BTC, ETH and SOL rather than stablecoins only, across five chains
  • $10 to issue and no monthly fee
  • Self-custodial wallet with cards attached, so the balance is not sitting in an issuer's omnibus account

Against it

  • Most of the price is missing. No top-up fee, no per-transaction fee, no ATM fee and no limit of any kind is published anywhere — on the site, the FAQ, the store listings, X or Telegram
  • The only independent rating is a single Trustpilot review, so the 3.2 score means nothing at all
  • The issuer is not named. A self-custodial wallet does not issue cards, so somebody else does, and Oppi never says who
  • The 2.5% currency conversion fee is high — roughly double what the cheaper cards in this catalogue charge

Also true, in its favour

  • Apple Pay and Google Pay on the virtual card, with real ATM access on the plastic
  • A published refusal list of twelve countries, stated plainly rather than deferred to an app check

Two figures are published and the rest is not. Issuance is $10 and there is no monthly fee; currency conversion costs 2.5%, which is high against the rest of this catalogue. What is missing matters more: no top-up fee, no per-transaction fee, no ATM fee and no spending limit appears on any Oppi page, FAQ, store listing or social post, so the cost of loading and using this card cannot be calculated before you sign up. The physical Visa is priced separately from the virtual Mastercard and the figure is not consistently stated. The issuer behind the cards is never named.

KYC: what Oppi Wallet asks for

A government document. Passport or ID goes to the issuer and to whoever processes verification for it, before the card is handed over.

The other flaws

  • The physical card is priced separately from the $10 virtual one and its price is not consistently published
  • No launch year is published anywhere, so there is no way to judge how long it has operated
  • The blocked list includes South Africa and Nigeria, which is unusual and unexplained for a product otherwise aimed at emerging markets
  • No IBAN and no account details — this is a wallet with cards, not a banking product
