DPT Pay

VisaVirtual and plastic
Asks for a documentOperational

Hong Kong stablecoin platform whose Visa card is issued by U.S. Bank and whose custody sits at BitGo — free to load, free to spend in dollars, and with balance and spending limits published as unlimited. Virtual $10, physical $50, USDC or USDT on four chains.

Total, per $100 spent: $2.00per $100 spent

98 of the 175 priced cards cost less. Among the 101 that ask for exactly as much identity, the median is $1.00. This one takes 2 times that for the same loss of privacy.

Whether to take DPT Pay

Worth it if you hold USDC or USDT and spend mostly in dollars — loading and USD purchases genuinely cost nothing, the limits are unlimited, and the issuer and custodian are both named. Not worth it if you need cash or spend abroad a lot: the ATM stack runs past 3.75% before the machine's own fee, and the 0%2% foreign-currency band is published as a range you cannot resolve in advance.

In its favour

  • Publishes its whole fee table on one page — application, transaction, ATM and limits, with figures rather than "from"
  • Loading costs nothing and spending in USD costs nothing: the fee only starts when the currency is not dollars
  • Balance, per-transaction and daily spending limits are all stated as unlimited
  • Issued by U.S. Bank under licence from Visa, with stablecoin custody at BitGo — both named, both lookupable

Against it

  • KYC is mandatory before any card is issued, and DPT does not publish which documents it asks for
  • No list of countries it refuses is published anywhere, so the only availability claim is "wherever Visa is accepted"
  • The $0.10 charge on transactions of $25 or less is waived only "for a limited time" — it is a promotion, not a price
  • Foreign-currency spending is quoted as a 0%2% range, and which end applies to which currency is not published

Also true, in its favour

  • Apple Pay and Google Pay on the virtual card, so the $10 tier works in a shop without waiting for plastic
  • Spends straight off the account balance — there is no separate step to move money onto the card

The issuer names no country it turns away. That is not a promise that every country works.

The other flaws

  • ATM cash is expensive and capped: 2% plus up to 1.75% FX plus the machine's own fee, $250 a withdrawal and $750 a day
  • Not a bank — deposits carry no deposit insurance, which DPT states plainly itself
  • Only USDC and USDT; no other asset can fund the card
